Looking for fun ideas of how to best spend your time in Myrtle Beach?? You definitely need to spend at least a day at Broadway at the Beach, the area's 350-acre shopping, dining, and nightlife complex. With so much to do, where do you start? Here is a top 10 list of things to do at Broadway to get you started!
10. Hot outside? Sounds like a great day for an ice cream cone to cool you off. With favorites like Ben & Jerry's and Coldstone Creamery, you've hit the jackpot. There are several places to choose from to get ice cream. Get your cone (or your dish) and watch the ducks swim around the lake. There's also really big fish--you have to check it out.
9. The Pirate Ship ride in the Pavilion Nostalgia Park is a big hit! There are quite a few other rides to choose from (including kiddie rides) so this is a great stop for families.
8. Putt-Putt at Dragon's Lair Fantasy Golf! This is a great game to get everyone involved. Whoever wins the game of miniature golf picks the next activity!
7. Need some time to cool off after that great game of mini golf? Check out the IMAX 3D Movie Theater! There are 400 seats, tiered so that everyone has an outstanding view of the movie. Their projector screen is over 6 stories tall! They have great educational movies and even Hollywood feature films! Check their box office for more details!
6. Ripley's Aquarium is an amazing place to take friends and family of all ages! They are open every day of the year so you don't have to worry about them being closed. They have great exhibits so you can learn while having fun. This is a great place for photo opportunities. Make sure you check out the gift shop on your way out!
5. HAPPY HOUR!! With over 15 restaurants that all serve happy hour... now that is a hard decision on where to stop. It's 5 o'clock somewhere, so why not pop into Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville for a famous hurricane, Carlos'n Charlie's for margarita or mojito (by the yard of course!), or Tilted Kilt for a pint of Guinness!
4. Hungry after happy hour?? There are fantastic restaurants to choose from here at Broadway. Feeling fishy--Landry's Seafood, King Kong Sushi, and Joe's Crab Shack! Dinner and a show--Yamato's Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse! Can't decide and need a lot of great choices--Liberty Steakhouse & Brewery; Good Time Charley's; Key West Grill. For a great dinner, check out the Hard Rock Cafe where you can explore the pyramid and see all of the music memorabilia while you wait for your food!
3. See a show! The Palace Theatre and Legends in Concert are located right here at Broadway and both have fabulous entertainment. Check with our front desk for show times!
2. Wonderworks and the Soar & Explore Zip Line! WOW! What a neat place! You may think it's a really funky upside down building...but inside it is an "amusement park for the mind" with 100 interactive exhibits. You can trick your kids into learning while having a super cool time. Test your limits outside at the ropes course and zip line across Lake Broadway. This is an experience you don't want to miss out on.
1. Shopping, Shopping, Shopping! With over 100 specialty shops there is SO much to choose from. Get your holiday shopping finished early by getting the goods on vacation! Why not bring a piece of Myrtle Beach home with you!?
